Inpatient Eating Disorders Treatment Services
We realize that regardless of whether this is your first time seeking treatment or you have been down this path before, it can be a difficult and stressful time for you and your loved ones. We want to make this experience as easy and helpful as possible for you and your family.
When patients enter Walden’s inpatient program, they are evaluated by a multidisciplinary team of experienced doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, counselors, therapists, expressive therapists and mental health counselors. These individuals develop a treatment plan that includes medical management, behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, nutritional counseling and medication. After the evaluation process, the staff’s priority is to stabilize the patient by continuously monitoring vital signs and providing 24-hour nursing care. Periodically, intravenous fluid or nasogastric tube feeding is necessary to prevent further deterioration of the patient’s condition.
