Walden’s Rainbow Road Virtual Partial Hospitalization Program (virtual PHP) and Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (virtual IOP) are unique online eating disorder day treatment programs that provide support for LGBTQIA+ patients by LGBTQ+ providers.

Eating Disorder Treatment for LGBTQIA+ Clients:

Rainbow Road is open to anyone 18+ who identifies as being part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

A Queer Team of Eating Disorder Treatment Professionals:

Your Rainbow Road treatment team is made up of eating disorder specialist clinicians who identify as LGBTQ+. We believe that positive attachment, modeling and community is how people heal.

Virtual LGBTQIA+ Eating Disorder Groups:

All Rainbow Road eating disorder treatment groups will be centered around the LGBTQ experience. You will participate in group eating disorder treatment that will allow you to explore how your sexual orientation and gender identity impact your eating disorder and recovery with staff and peers who truly understand your lived experience.

Virtual Eating Disorder Treatment for the LGBTQIA+ Community – What’s Included:

More than just a track, our specialty Rainbow Road treatment programs are staffed by clinicians, dietitians, and medical providers with specific expertise and specialized training in providing care for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our virtual day-treatment programs include:

• Therapeutic meal coaching
• Individual therapy
• Group therapy (including queer body nutrition staffed by a counselor and registered dietitian)
• Case management
• Weekly meetings with a registered dietitian in PHP and dietetic consultation as needed by request in IOP
• Psychiatric medication management in PHP

Rainbow Road Virtual LGBTQ+ Eating Disorder Treatment Schedule:

Rainbow Road is offered through Walden’s HIPAA-compliant virtual program. PHP meets 5-6 days per week. IOP groups meet 3-5 days per week, and clients can choose 8:45 – 11:15 am or 11:15 am – 2:30 pm. Most insurances are accepted. Physician referral not required.
