Residential Eating Disorder Programs

24-hour care with the comforts of home

Here at Walden Behavioral Care, we are proud to offer one of the nation’s only full systems of specialized eating disorder support. Our residential treatment programs offer specialized 24-hour care for individuals of all genders. Offering cozy, home-like environments, our treatment spaces are designed to provide you with the support you need. We welcome all individuals who are medically stable and we are here to help you prepare for real-life experiences outside of treatment.

We offer residential treatment in two locations: Dedham, MA and Dunwoody, GA. Our Massachusetts location provides separate programming and living accommodations for teens (ages 11-18) and adults (18+), while our Georgia location provides treatment for adults (18+).

The residential level of care helps to bridge the gap between inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. You will work with your team to better understand thought patterns that can drive disordered behavior. You will also be able to learn and practice skills to use during stressful times or situations.

The primary goals of our Residential Program are to:

  • Prepare you for real-life experiences outside of treatment
  • Interrupt and reduce eating disorder behaviors
  • Establish (or re-establish) normalized eating patterns

Individuals in our residential programs have access to a dedicated team of care professionals including a dietitian, nurse practitioner, nurse, therapist and mental health counselor. Together, you will create personalized treatment plans and goals to help guide you on your path to recovery.

“Thank you so much to the staff at Walden’s residential program who never gave up on me and supported me when I needed it most. My time here was not easy, but the caring staff helped me to make it really productive.”
