Treatment Programs

Virtual Support Groups

Connection during this time of social distancing is more important than ever. That is why we are offering virtual support groups, as a chance to connect with others who may be in similar situations. Many find that just being together with people who understand their unique experiences is incredibly helpful.

Together, with Walden staff, you will spend time discussing recovery roadblocks and brainstorming for solutions. This is an opportunity to share and learn new coping strategies from each other. If you are unsure whether or not a support group is a right fit for you, please fill out the form below and someone will reach out to discuss with you.

Alumni Support Groups

Your continued recovery success is very important to us. That is why we offer our alumni support services free of charge. This is a chance to connect with your Walden community for ongoing support and education as you navigate your eating disorder recovery journey. These groups are offered for those who have participated in any of Walden’s PHP and IOP programs and are 18+. Please note that alumni online support groups are not a substitute for eating disorder treatment.

General Adult Alumni Group meetings offered:

  • Tuesday: 9:30AM – 10:30AM ET
  • Thursday: 6:30PM – 7:30PM ET

Free to Be Alumni Group meeting offered:

  • Thursday: 5:30PM – 6:30PM ET

For more information or to register for the Adult or Free to Be groups, please email kraymond@waldenbehavioralcare.com and specify the day/time of the group you’d like to join.

The LGBTQ Alumni Support Group is for anyone who identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community, is 18+, and who previously received treatment at Walden. Attendees do not exclusively have to have been in Walden’s Rainbow Road program. This is a safe space that will be hosted by LGBTQ staff members on Fridays at 3-4pm to receive support from other former clients around how their LGBTQ identity ties into their ED recovery.

B’SHALOM Parent Support Group

Mondays at 11 AM ET (Weekly)

The B’SHALOM Parent Support Group is for all parents across any level of Jewish observance with a child who struggles with an eating disorder. Attendees do not have to be past Walden clients. As members of the Jewish faith and licensed professionals, we understand the importance of kosher meal planning, rituals around food, historical context, and the role of religion at the intersection of eating disorder recovery.

For more information or to register and receive Zoom information, please email Shlomo Bogart at sbogart@waldenbehavioralcare.com
