The Walden Team was in full swing at NEDA Walk Atlanta in the always lovely Piedmont Park in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The event took place on April 24, 2022, and successfully surpassed its goal to raise $15,000 for the National Eating Disorder Association.

Walden is a proud sponsor of NEDA Walks in Atlanta and other communities, because the events raise critical funds, restore hope, and change the conversation surrounding eating disorders. With every dollar raised, we are one step closer to our shared vision of a world without eating disorders.  And that’s something we can all get behind.

Lyla and K
Lyla Mills, Clinical Intern at Walden’s Alpharetta clinic, and Kris Shock, Director of Community Relations for Walden’s Georgia facilities, talked with event attendees who stopped by Walden’s booth at NEDA Walk Atlanta. Lyla also assisted NEDA with event planning and coordination.
NEDA Walk Atlanta
About a hundred people came out to Piedmont Park in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia, to participate in NEDA Walk Atlanta. The walk was the first in-person event in some time, and the weather shined for the occasion.
Therapy Dog NEDA Atlanta Walk
Sven the therapy dog sported his Walden bandana at NEDA Walk Atlanta. Fun fact: Sven was the first service dog to stay in Walden’s Dunwoody, Georgia, residential facility.

About Our Eating Disorder Programs in Georgia

Walden has a stellar team in Georgia, and our metro Atlanta adult residential eating disorder program, located in Dunwoody, is the only in Georgia and provides an intimate, home-like setting for adults who need a more structured and monitored treatment environment. One thing people are often surprised to learn is that you don’t have to be a Georgia resident to seek treatment there.

We also offer day and evening eating disorder treatment programs at our additional three locations in Dunwoody and Alpharetta, Georgia.
