AMHERST – The Waltham-based Walden Behavioral Care program has opened an eating disorders clinic here and will have be having an open house Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at its 100 University Drive location.

According to the website, the clinic offers adult and adolescent partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs as well as an intensive outpatient program for adult binge eaters.

Walden has programs in Northampton, Worcester, South Windsor, Connecticut as well as Braintree, Hingham and Peabody.

The clinic is located in the same building here as medical offices and the Cooley Dickinson HealthCare. The location is intended to provide treatment to the Five College area community.

The clinic began accepting new patients May.
