Family Based Treatment views families as an invaluable resource in eating disorder treatment because they are uniquely positioned to provide the support and supervision necessary to combat this life-threatening disease.

This presentation will provide a historical context with supporting scientific evidence of FBT, key assumptions about participants and treatment, and will review the 3 phases of FBT utilizing a case example.

Every state Board of Nursing accepts ANCC approved programs except California and Iowa, however CES is also an approved Continuing Education provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, (Provider Number CEP15567) which is also accepted by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
